Just a quick post here to recap and reset the current state of Penn State’s 2024 recruiting targets.
These are the current players who seem to be getting pursued the hardest or most recently received new offers. There are roughly another dozen or so kids that have ‘24 offers from PSU but have either committed elsewhere or seem unlikely to come here based on the reports about their current interests in other schools.
New Names:
Bryce Dortch and Garrett Sundra both received offers in the last week from Penn State. Both are listed as being around 6’9” or 6’10” power forwards, which more or less doubles the amount of PF targets in the class.
Cole Certa and AJ Swinton are also newer offers in more of the big guard or wing role. No reported visits planned from any of these 4 yet.
Removed Names:
Two names I had on this list before were Peyton Marshall (Auburn) and Kayvaughn Mulready (Providence), who have both committed elsewhere. I also removed Klairus Amir, as there haven’t been any reported updates on this recruitment in quite some time.
Other Notes:
Some of the rankings have updated slightly, I’m not updating those as frequently myself right now. But the visits should be up to date in terms of what is publicly reported.
Not a surprise but 8 of the 12 on this list play for AAU programs in the Philly or DMV area. The DMV in particular is loaded with talent these next few classes, but all of these kids have a ton of high major interest so none of these are going to be easy to close.
As we’ve seen in the past two classes, our biggest competitors for many of these kids will continue to be: Xavier, Marquette, Virginia Tech, and Maryland.
